University Motor Lodge is a motel-style stay at 345 North Pleasant Street in Amherst, with exterior-access rooms. A room includes two double beds, a mini fridge, and a microwave, so the setup is straightforward and practical rather than resort-like. The room facts point to a simple overnight base for sleeping, storing cold items, and reheating food during a short Amherst stay.

The stay works well for travelers who want to keep a car with them, because free parking is available on the property. Coffee and a guest computer are available in the main office, and wake-up service is offered. Pets are allowed for an additional fee, but arrangements need to be made in advance.

The location is the main advantage here. Being on North Pleasant Street places University Motor Lodge close enough to walk to key Amherst points rather than depending only on driving. For a motel in Amherst, that combination of walkable location, on-site parking, and simple room equipment is the useful part of the stay.

One limit is the office schedule: the office is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a 24-hour answering service. Guests arriving after 9:00 PM need to check in at Howard Johnson in Hadley.
