The Plough is a traditional coaching inn on Bondgate Without in the heart of Alnwick. The building dates back to 1896 and works as both a pub and a place to stay, so the tone is more inn-like than formal hotel-like.

Rooms have en-suite bathrooms. A standard double room can be set up with a king-size bed or two single beds on request, and it includes an en-suite shower, a wardrobe, a large TV, and refreshment facilities. The small double rooms have double beds, dressing tables, grey-check decor, large TVs, en-suite showers, toilets, and complimentary refreshments.

The single room has a double bed, countryside-style furniture, and an en-suite bathroom. Room facilities include tea and coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi, a TV, towels, complimentary toiletries, a hair dryer, and ironing facilities.

The stay works well if you want accommodation in the same building as a pub. The Plough serves food in the building and has a bar, so meals and drinks can be handled without leaving the property.
