Shawlee Cottage is a bed and breakfast at 108 Lauchope Street in Chapelhall, Airdrie. The building is a red-brick guest house with a garden, so the tone here is small-scale and B&B-like rather than hotel-resort style.

Rooms at Shawlee Cottage include specific bed setups: a double room has one double bed, a twin room has two twin beds, and a single room has one twin bed. Room details include sound-insulated walls, free in-room WiFi, a desk, a telephone, a flat-screen TV, an iPod docking station, and a hair dryer.

The room photos show straightforward private bathroom setups, including a toilet, towels, and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The available room information also shows non-smoking rooms, which fits the property’s smoke-free setup.

The stay works well for guests arriving by car because the property has its own free car park at the rear of the building. Breakfast is also part of the B&B setup, and the property has a breakfast area in the building.

Shawlee Cottage also works for guests using local transport because there is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue, and Airdrie is the nearest National Rail station. This gives the property a useful base in Airdrie without needing to present it as a city-centre hotel.

The property has free WiFi, luggage storage, a garden, and an ATM or banking service on site. These are practical details rather than luxury extras, but they make the stay easier for a short visit to Airdrie or Chapelhall.

One limit is that Blue Badge parking spaces cannot be booked in advance. Travelers who need a guaranteed accessible parking space should treat that as a firm planning point before choosing Shawlee Cottage.
