Hotel Grande Bretagne is a full-service hotel at 1 Vasileos Georgiou A’ Street, Syntagma Square, in Athens. The building has operated as a landmark hotel since 1874, and the stay is built around a formal city-hotel setup rather than an apartment-style stay.

Rooms at Hotel Grande Bretagne combine traditional styling with modern facilities. Confirmed in-room details include guest rooms and suites with opening windows, electronic room keys, deadbolts, safety chains or latches, and self-closing doors. Mobility-accessible rooms are available, and accessible bathroom features include non-slip grab rails, a roll-in shower, and a toilet seat at wheelchair height.

The stay works well inside the building because the hotel has restaurants on site, an on-site bar, 24-hour room service, guest room entertainment, wake-up calls, and on-site laundry. There is also an outdoor pool with the GB Pool Bar, and the hotel lists an indoor pool as part of its swimming facilities. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for Marriott Bonvoy members when booking direct.

Dining and services are part of the appeal here. The GB Roof Garden Restaurant is in the hotel, and afternoon tea is available at the Winter Garden. The hotel also offers concierge service, private car service, limousine or van service, and luggage services, so the stay is arranged more like a staffed city hotel than a simple overnight room.

One current limit is that the GB Spa is temporarily closed for renovation. The indoor pool and the fitness studio tied to the spa area are also listed as temporarily closed for renovation, although a temporary fitness area on the 1st floor remains accessible.
