Days Inn by Wyndham Ames is a straightforward hotel at 229 S Duff Ave in Ames, so the expectation should be practical rather than resort-style. Rooms include specific layouts with a bed and desk, rooms with two beds and a television, and rooms with a bed and couch. Bathrooms are shown with a toilet and shower, and another room detail includes a private bathroom with a bathtub.

The stay works best if you want the essentials handled inside the building. Breakfast is available, including a free light breakfast or to-go breakfast, and the property also has free Wi-Fi. Parking is available on the property, including free self-parking, which is useful for guests arriving by car.

Rooms include air conditioning, a microwave, and a flat-screen TV. The property is listed with non-smoking rooms and wheelchair accessibility.

One clear limit is the pet policy: pets are not allowed at this property. Travelers bringing an animal should choose a different Ames hotel before booking.
