Room details are practical for a short campus or Ames visit. Standard rooms include Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a desk, a minifridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Some rooms include a pull-out sofa, and suites add a separate living area. A king suite option includes one king bed and a sofa bed, giving the room a sleeping area and a sitting area instead of just one open bedroom space.

The stay works well because breakfast and parking are handled on site. Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites includes a complimentary full hot breakfast, and parking is available on the property, including outdoor parking for cars, trucks, and RVs.

One firm limit is check-in age: guests must be 21 or older to check in, or 18 or older with an active military ID. A valid credit card is required at check-in, and the hotel applies a 150 USD incidental hold to each room at check-in.
