Towne Hotel is a small downtown hotel on George Street in Nassau, with air-conditioned rooms rather than resort-style suites. Standard rooms can have one king bed or two twin beds, a private bathroom, a patio, a seating area, cable TV, a ceiling fan, tile or marble flooring, and either an inner-courtyard or city view. Superior rooms add the option of one king bed or two full beds, plus a balcony or patio, a seating area, a private bathroom, cable TV, and either a pool or city view.

The stay works well if you want useful hotel services in the building. Breakfast is included and served daily, Wi-Fi is included, and the hotel has a courtyard pool, a sun deck, a restaurant, and a bar. The pool and sun deck give Towne Hotel a practical place to cool off without leaving the property.

Embassy, with government offices, law firms, and the registrar’s office within walking distance. For a short Nassau stay, the address keeps the hotel close to the port, Bay Street, and the beach without needing a resort setting.

One real limit is access to upper floors: Standard and Superior rooms on upper floors are reached by stairs only. That matters if you are carrying heavy luggage or need step-free movement inside the building.
