The Garland is a hotel at 4222 Vineland Ave in North Hollywood, with a Mission-style resort setting on a seven-acre property off the 101 freeway. The stay has an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a courtyard garden with seating areas, a gym, a tennis court, guest laundry, and an elevator, so it works as more than a room-only stop in Los Angeles.

Rooms include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, coffeemakers, and private balconies. Suites add pull-out sofas and kitchenettes, which gives extra room setup for a longer stay or for guests who want a separate sitting and sleeping arrangement.

The Garland also has in-room dining and a restaurant serving modern American food. The Front Yard adds an outdoor patio, and the hotel also has a lobby bar and a lounge with a fireplace, so meals and evening drinks can stay on the property rather than requiring another drive.

The pool, shuttle, restaurant, laundry, and larger suite layouts make those stays easier because several daily needs are handled inside the hotel or through hotel transport.

One real limit is parking: self parking and valet parking are available, but overnight self parking is an extra charge. That matters most for guests arriving by car, because the hotel is off the freeway and the parking setup is part of the cost of using the property as a Los Angeles base.
