The Barfield, Autograph Collection is a hotel at 600 South Polk Street in Amarillo, with a boutique style tied to Texas Panhandle heritage. The building also works as more than a place to sleep, because the hotel includes its own Italian steakhouse, a basement speakeasy-style cocktail bar, and a rooftop patio bar.

A Deluxe Queen room gives a specific sense of what the rooms are like: it has two queen beds, a living area with a chaise lounge, a work desk with plug-in panels, a 55-inch smart TV, soundproofed walls, and blackout curtains. The bathroom setup includes a shower, bathrobes, toiletries, and a well-lit vanity.

The stay works smoothly for guests who want services inside the building. Breakfast is available on site at Toscana Italian Steakhouse for a fee, room service is available, the front desk operates 24 hours, and the property has elevators.

For daily routines, the hotel has a fitness center with treadmills, free weights, and a Peloton stationary bike. The rooms also include practical in-room features such as a refreshment center, bottled water, a work desk and chair, and a coffee and tea maker.

The main limit is transportation: The Barfield, Autograph Collection does not provide airport shuttle service. Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport is listed as 9 miles from the property, so guests need to arrange their own ride between the airport and the hotel.
