Royal Berkshire is a country house hotel on London Road in Sunninghill, just outside Ascot. The building has an 18th-century country-house setting, and the stay is framed around landscaped gardens rather than a city-centre hotel feel.

A room can include a super king size bed, a relaxed seating area, and a working desk. In the Ascot signature suite, the bathroom setup includes both a bath with an aqua vision screen and a walk-in rain shower, and the room also has air conditioning and a south-facing garden view.

The stay works well for drivers because Royal Berkshire has on-site parking with electric car charging points. The hotel is also positioned for road access, with the M25, M3, and M4 listed as nearby motorway links.

Breakfast is served in the building at Fork, the hotel’s relaxed restaurant, which also serves dinner. The Polo Bar is available for drinks and afternoon tea, and the terrace is used for outdoor dining or drinks when the weather allows.

For arrival planning, Ascot station is the recommended rail stop because taxis are normally available there, while Sunningdale is close but does not always have taxis waiting. Helicopter landings are available only by request, and pre-booking is required.
