Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge is a practical lodge-style hotel at 1711 Bow Valley Trail in Canmore, with a mix of hotel rooms, apartments, loft apartments, and a cottage. Standard hotel rooms come with one or two queen beds, or one queen bed with one twin bed, plus a full bathroom, a work desk and chair, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television, a mini refrigerator, and a hair dryer. The rooms also have views of the Canadian Rockies.

For a longer or more self-contained stay, some room types add a kitchen. The hotel room with kitchen has either two double beds or one queen bed with one twin bed, a kitchen with a mini refrigerator, and a full bathroom. The one-bedroom apartment has a private bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a double futon, a full kitchen, and a gas fireplace.

The stay works well because the property has complimentary parking, a hot tub, a sauna, a barbecue and picnic area, a playground, guest laundry, ski locker storage, and bike rentals. The hot tub is open daily, and the sauna is beside it, so the relaxation facilities are easy to use after time outdoors. The laundry room is beside the lobby and includes an iron and ironing board.

Pets are allowed in pet-friendly rooms, but not every room type accepts pets, so the pet room needs to be confirmed before arrival. Parking is on site, but it is not undercover and spaces are not allocated, so arriving early matters on busy weekends and public holidays.
