Quest Ballarat is an apartment hotel at 7-11 Dawson Street North in Ballarat Central. The stay is set up for guests who want more than a standard room: apartments include kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs, DVD players and iPod docks, and some apartments add balconies. Higher-category apartments add full kitchens and living and dining areas, giving the room a more self-contained feel for a longer stay in Ballarat.

The practical side of the stay is strong. Parking is complimentary on the property, so arriving by car does not add another daily parking task. The building also has a fitness room, a BBQ area, a business centre and a guest lounge, which gives guests places to work, exercise or sit outside the apartment.

Breakfast is available for an extra charge, and a grocery shopping service is also available for an extra charge. That setup fits the apartment-hotel style: guests can use the kitchenette or full kitchen when they want to keep meals simple, while still having breakfast service as an option.

For a Ballarat stay, the main appeal is the combination of central location and self-contained apartment features. Quest Ballarat works best if you want a city-centre base with parking, fitness facilities and the option to prepare food in the room rather than relying only on hotel-style services.
