This is a hotel at 6701 Hollywood Road in Amarillo, set off I-27. The property is smoke-free and includes Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, a fitness center, and a 24-hour business center, so the stay is built around practical hotel services rather than a resort setting.

Rooms at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Amarillo South, an IHG Hotel include air conditioning, a private bathroom, a seating area, a refrigerator, a microwave, and tea and coffee-making equipment. The room setup is straightforward for an Amarillo stop: there is a real bathroom in the room, space to sit, and basic in-room conveniences for keeping drinks or simple food on hand.

The stay works well on-site because breakfast is served in the building, and parking is available on the property for registered hotel guests. The hotel also allows cars, buses, RVs, trucks, and trailers in its parking area, which is useful for travelers arriving by road rather than relying on local transport.

Business travelers are directly served by the 24-hour business center and the location near area businesses and medical centers. Leisure travelers also fit the hotel’s setup because the pool, whirlpool, breakfast, parking, and smoke-free policy keep most of the practical parts of the stay inside the property.

One limit is the pet policy: only dogs and cats are allowed, with one pet permitted, a 75-pound weight limit, and a non-refundable nightly cleaning fee.
