Haifa Guest House is a guesthouse in an old Templars’ house at the foot of the Baha’i garden in Haifa. The building dates to the late 1860s, with an old wooden staircase, shutters, stone details, and a protected historic character, so the stay feels more like a small heritage house than a standard hotel.

The rooms are practical and simple. A standard double room has a double bed, an orthopedic mattress, air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower or bath, and a kitchenette. The economy double room keeps the double bed, orthopedic mattress, air conditioning, and kitchenette, but uses a shared bathroom. The attic double room has a private bathroom with shower, a kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking the Baha’i gardens with a table and chairs.

The stay works best if you want independence rather than a full-service hotel setup. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available in the house and in the rooms, and parking is available near the house. Rooms also include practical features such as blackout curtains or shutters, an opening window, housekeeping, a hair dryer, LCD television, refrigerator, kettle, microwave, crockery, and an iron.

Haifa Guest House also arranges customized excursions in Israel and can arrange airport pickup for a fee.

One limit is room choice during high season and holidays: advance reservations are recommended because the first-choice room can be unavailable at those times.
