Glenhope Alpaca Farm Suites is a bed and breakfast style farmstay rather than a conventional hotel, so the appeal is privacy, space, and a rural setting. The private suite opens onto gardens, with views over the garden or countryside, and the stay is set up for guests who want a quieter Armidale base with a farm atmosphere.

The Garden Suite is a self-catering studio with a queen bed and a small adjoining room with a single bed. It includes a kitchenette, an en-suite shower and toilet, a separate extra toilet off the laundry area, and a private outdoor area with access to a barbecue. The room setup also includes a seating area, television and movies, books and games, plus free wireless internet.

The stay works well for a slow morning because breakfast can come with alpaca gazing or bird watching. Free private parking is available on site, and the outdoor area gives the suite a more independent feel than a standard B&B room. In colder Armidale weather, the suite has quality linen, alpaca doonas, slab heating, and reverse-cycle air conditioning.

The practical limit is access to the en-suite shower: there is a step up into it, so Glenhope Alpaca Farm Suites is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
