Fairholm Boutique Inns is a boutique inn property made up of restored heritage buildings, including the Fairholm building, which was built in 1838 and is recognized as a National Historic Landmark. The tone is closer to a historic inn than a large full-service hotel: the appeal is in the restored houses, individual suite styles, and the shared grounds rather than a standardized chain layout.

Rooms vary by building and category, so the room experience depends on what is booked. Confirmed room features include king and queen options, fireplaces, spa bath or jacuzzi-style tubs in some suites, curved glass bay windows in the Fairholm building, balconies in some Cranford House suites, and full kitchens with Murphy beds in the Carriage House suites.

The stay works well for travelers who want key services on the property rather than only a room. Parking, Wi-Fi, espresso, access to the grounds, and a hot served breakfast are included with the suites, and breakfast is served at the Hillhurst dining room and deck patio.

Fairholm Boutique Inns also centralizes arrival logistics: the front desk, check-in, breakfast, and dining are all based at Hillhurst Inn at 181 Fitzroy Street. That matters because the property is spread across several restored buildings sharing the same green space, so guests who want a specific building or suite style should arrange that directly before arrival.

A real limit is that check-in and breakfast are not handled separately in every building; they take place at Hillhurst Inn. For travelers who prefer a historic Charlottetown inn with on-property breakfast, parking, and distinctive room features such as fireplaces, spa baths, balconies, or full kitchens, Fairholm Boutique Inns offers a specific and practical setup rather than a generic hotel stay.
