Rooms at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Altoona are set up with space to work or relax, including a well-lit work area and an ergonomic chair. Room features include high-speed internet access, a smart TV with streaming options, a refrigerator, and a coffee station. Some accessible rooms include a roll-in shower.

The stay works well for a simple hotel routine because breakfast is served in the building, with both hot breakfast and buffet breakfast available to guests. The hotel also has an indoor pool, a fitness center, guest laundry, and an outdoor patio with grills. On-site parking is available for guests, and the property has elevators.

The Altoona location is also useful for medical-related stays, since the hotel is adjacent to the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital and a short drive from UPMC Altoona. The property also has electric vehicle charging stations, subject to availability.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Altoona is a hotel rather than a resort-style property, so the appeal is its practical setup: a room with work space, breakfast on site, indoor swimming, parking, and direct access from a main road. The hotel does not provide airport shuttle service, so guests arriving by air need to arrange their own transportation.
