Evergreen Birch Lodge is a resort-style accommodation rather than a standard hotel, so the stay is built around private lodging, outdoor space and longer-stay practicality. The property includes lodge-style accommodation, cottages, motel-style suites, rustic cabins, tiny houses and RV sites, with the setting just off English Bay Road on Township Road 634 and Range Road 423.

Rooms and units are set up with specific living features rather than only a bed for the night. Lodge rooms include satellite TV and in-room bar fridges, while cottage and suite options include full kitchens, living rooms, 4-piece bathrooms, private decks or patios, and BBQs. Some furnished accommodations include queen beds, and cabin options include single-room cabins and a two-room cabin with three beds.

The stay works well because parking is on the property and is described as spacious and secure, away from city congestion. Wireless internet, satellite TV, housekeeping, laundry facilities, BBQ areas, private fire pits and pet-friendly outdoor space are part of the resort setup. The property also has walking trails, an off-leash dog park, play areas, a tree house, a bait and tackle shop, and guided fishing or ice-fishing options.

That makes the tone more practical and outdoors-focused than polished city-hotel style, with space, parking, cooking facilities and private outdoor areas doing much of the work.

One limit is specific to RV stays: the RV season runs from April 1 to October 31.
