Rooms at Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown are set up for a practical city stay, with flat-screen TVs, in-room streaming access, free Wi-Fi, a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator. Suite options add more separation, including suites with a separate bedroom area, and the larger loft-style suites include hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, fireplaces, kitchenettes, and one and a half bathrooms.

The stay works well inside the building too. The hotel has an indoor pool, a fitness center, elevators, and a 24-hour front desk, so the basic hotel functions are covered without leaving the property.

Food and drink are available at the Courtyard Bistro in the building, with hot and cold food and Starbucks coffee available for purchase in the morning or later in the day. Parking is available through an underground garage and a surface lot on Furnace Street, which is useful for guests arriving by car in downtown Akron.

The main limit is that breakfast is not free; food and coffee at the Bistro are purchased separately. The hotel also does not provide airport shuttle service, so airport transfers need to be arranged independently.
