Comfort Suites University is a smoke-free, all-suite hotel at 1902 East Overland Trail in Abilene. The room setup is practical rather than decorative: suites include a living area with a pull-out sofa, a partial room divider, a desk, free Wi-Fi, and a 40-inch LCD or plasma TV. Room types include king suites and two-queen suites, and accessible suites include mobility and hearing features such as an accessible tub, visual alarm alert, visual telephone alert, and wheelchair access.

Some suites add a whirlpool tub, which is the strongest room upgrade confirmed for this property. Standard in-room conveniences include a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, but the main value of the room is the separate sitting space and sofa bed, which make the suite more useful than a standard sleeping-only room.

The stay works well for a road-based stop because the hotel provides free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and free self-parking on the property.

Comfort Suites University is also set up for accessibility, with accessible parking, an accessible elevator, and accessible pool access listed for the property. The building has interior corridors and four floors, giving it the layout and service pattern of a midscale chain hotel rather than a small inn or B&B.

One clear limit is the pet policy: pets are not allowed at this Comfort Suites University. Some services, including laundry, vending machines, and copy-machine use, can require an additional cost.
