Comfort Inn & Suites Alexandria is a hotel at 5716 S Van Dorn St in Alexandria, with a practical setup for a stay near the Capital Beltway. The building is positioned off I-495/I-95, so the location is useful for arriving by car while still giving access to the metro on foot.

Rooms are simple and bright, with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffee makers. Suites add a separate living area with a pull-out sofa, which gives more space than a standard room layout. Some room information also confirms a private bathroom, air conditioning, soundproofing, and an iron with ironing board.

The stay works best as a straightforward hotel base rather than a resort-style stay. Breakfast is served in the building, and parking is free on the property. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the metro station, which adds another way to use transit from this Alexandria address.

The pool is seasonal, so it is not a year-round feature. Laundry and pet-friendly stays are listed as available, with a note that some services may require an additional cost.

Comfort Inn & Suites Alexandria keeps the focus on useful hotel basics: breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, fitness access, and rooms with in-room appliances. For a traveler deciding before booking, the strongest confirmed reasons to consider it are the walk to Van Dorn Street metro station, the included breakfast, and the free on-site parking.
