Chapel House Hotel is best understood as a restaurant with rooms and luxury bed and breakfast rather than a large full-service hotel. The building dates from 1728, when it was built as the dower house to Atherstone Hall, so the stay has a historic-house setting with a small, individual feel.

The bedrooms are on the first floor and each one has its own style. Rooms include en-suite shower rooms with power showers, 100% cotton bedlinen, large bath towels, feather and non-feather pillows, and non-allergenic duvets. Room types include a superior double or twin, a superior single, and superior king rooms.

The stay works well for guests who want breakfast in the building, because Full English breakfast is included with the room. Chapel House Hotel also has an on-site fine dining restaurant, and residents have check-in from noon to 9pm, with later arrivals only by arrangement.
