Chaparral Motel is a motel-style stay at 486 River Street in Ballina, about 2 kilometres south of the Ballina CBD. Its own material positions it as a stopover location for travel toward Brisbane, so the tone here is simple and road-trip practical rather than resort-like.

Rooms include queen and triple-style accommodation, with standard and deluxe options. A Deluxe Queen Room has a queen bed, an ensuite, a split-system air conditioner, heating, a ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and in-room items including a toaster, jug, microwave, crockery, cutlery, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. The Deluxe Queen and Single setup adds a queen bed plus a single bed and an ensuite.

The stay works well for drivers because Chaparral Motel provides on-site undercover parking, and every room has undercover parking allocated. Some downstairs deluxe rooms have parking at the door, while the upstairs standard queen-and-single rooms have their own allocated undercover car park.
