Avlon Gardens Motel & Holiday Houses is a family-run motel at 16 Bangalow Road in Ballina. The stay is set up around practical motel accommodation rather than resort-style extras, with ground-floor and first-floor units, landscaped gardens, gazebos and a covered barbecue area.

The room details are useful for deciding before you book. Rooms have reverse-cycle air conditioning, small kitchenettes and beds listed by room type, including queen rooms with one large queen bed, twin rooms with one large queen bed and one single bed, family rooms with one large queen bed and two single beds, and spa suites with one large king bed. Rooms also include a dining table and chairs, a sofa, a flat-screen TV with Netflix, and free fast NBN internet.

The stay works well for guests who want outdoor space on the property. Rooms open toward landscaped gardens, gazebos and the covered barbecue area, and the property has a saltwater pool. Families are specifically supported by the family room layout, the grassed garden area and space for children to play or use the pool.

Parking is another practical point here. Avlon Gardens Motel & Holiday Houses has undercover onsite parking and secure off-road parking for larger vehicles, boats and trailers. The property also lists airport pick-ups, luggage storage, laundry service, daily room servicing and wheelchair-accessible downstairs rooms.

The Ballina location is convenient without needing to turn the stay into a sightseeing plan. Shelly Beach and Lighthouse Beach are a five-minute drive away, and Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is about a ten-minute drive away. For guests using public transport, the property lists a bus stop two blocks away with local and interstate service.

Late check-in is available only by prior notification, and arrivals after 6 pm need to be arranged with the motel in advance.
